ROY MORRIS

Born in New Zealand,

Roy started playing drums at he age of 13 and soon after began playing for the Rotorua CMC becoming the resident drummer for many years.

   He joined his first 3 piece cabaret band with Al Dawson at the age of 15 and had many years playing at the International Hotel, Geyserland Hotel, Caravel Inn and backed many famous artists with their shows. Roy was also the drummer for the famous NZ Golden Clef awards auditions.

   Roy has also won many awards for solo, duo and group vocals both in NZ and Australia.

   When Roy came to Australia in 1988, he joined the Pioneer Village CMC Qld and became the resident drummer for many years. From the club, Roy played drums/vocals for the "Sweet Freedom" band and the "Wild Turkey" band and his own band "No Secrets".

   Roy performs Big Band Swing  and Rock n Roll music using professional backing sequences playing  with an acoustic guitar at many RSL, Bowls, Sports and Golf clubs around Brisbane, Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast.
